As part of its efforts to expand international academic and research collaborations, the Faculty of Environment at the University of Tehran hosted a high-level delegation from the Research Institute for Environmental Innovation (RIET), affiliated with Tsinghua University in Suzhou, China, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

The visiting delegation included Dr. Xin Yao, Deputy Director of RIET; Dr. Li Yue, Director of the Green Development Research Center at RIET; and Dr. Li Qianhong, Senior Researcher at the same center. During a joint meeting with the faculty board and academic staff of the Faculty of Environment, both sides engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas.

The meeting focused on introducing the scientific and research capacities of both institutions, with key discussions centered around innovations in the field of environmental science, strategies for the advancement of green technologies, and the examination of global environmental challenges. The participants also emphasized the importance of strengthening joint efforts in applied research and international collaborative projects.

This visit marked a significant step toward enhancing the University of Tehran’s engagement with leading research institutions worldwide and advancing the shared goals of sustainable development in the environmental sector.
